Dupont Speaks Toastmasters meet at One Dupont Circle, which is the National Center on Higher Education building. The building is at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue -- and between Connecticut and Massachusetts Avenues. It is across the street from the Dupont Circle Metro Station's South Exit and next door to the Bank of America and CVS Pharmacy.

 

When you enter the building, you'll need to stop at the guard's desk in the lobby to show a photo I.D. The guard will print a temporary building nametag for you; this process takes a few minutes.

 

Once you've checked in, take the elevator down to Floor 1B. On Floor 1B, proceed through the "NCHE Conference Center" wood and glass double doors. You'll see a Toastmasters International welcome sign outside our meeting room door.

Metro:

• Take the red line to Dupont Circle Metrorail station.
• Take the Dupont Circle South exit (not the Q Street exit) to 19th Street.
• At the top of the escalator, turn right, cross 19th Street, then cross New Hampshire Avenue.
• ACE is located in the National Center for Higher Education building on the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and Dupont Circle.

Driving Directions:

From Rockville, Md., and Points North

• Take Connecticut Avenue south.
• At R Street, move into the right lane and make a slight right-hand turn onto 20th Street south. Proceed for three blocks.
• Make a left onto New Hampshire Avenue.
• ACE will be on your left, at the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and Dupont Circle in the National Center for Higher Education building.

From Fairfax, Va., and Points West

• Take Route 66 east to the Roosevelt Bridge.
• Once you cross the bridge, the road will become Constitution Avenue.
• Turn left on 20th Street. Follow 20th Street through several traffic lights, until you reach New Hampshire Avenue.
• Bear right onto New Hampshire Avenue.
• ACE is located at the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and Dupont Circle in the National Center for Higher Education building.

From Northern Virginia and Points South

• Take the Washington Beltway (Interstate 495) to Route 395 north.
• Take the Virginia 27/Washington Blvd. exit (8B), toward the Pentagon/Arlington Cemetery.
• Follow signs for U.S. 50/George Washington Memorial Parkway north.
• Bear left at the fork.
• Curve right and cross the Arlington Memorial Bridge. Continue through Lincoln Memorial Circle.
• Turn left onto 23rd Street and drive several blocks.
• Turn right onto New Hampshire Avenue.
• ACE is located at the corner of New Hampshire Avenue and Dupont Circle in the National Center for Higher Education building.

Public Parking

We advise taking the Metro to ACE. For visitors who are driving, garage parking is available at several locations nearby and metered parking is available on the streets.
